ETH 212: Ancient History - from COMMON LAND

In this episode of Earth to Humans, which is shared from the Wild Lens produced series COMMON LAND, we explore the ancient history of the Snake River Canyon region in Southwestern Idaho. The Shoshone and Paiute people and their ancestors have lived in and around this area for at least 14,500 years, and this episode shares a look at their culture and lifeways before the arrival of European American settlers.

“All of these lands, these canyons, especially the Snake River, are areas where resources have been for our people. Water is life, and that’s where our people survive.”
